Role Play Attributes/Stats in Excel 2007

Hi Folks!

I decided, as a fun thing, to try to recreate a Role Play sheet for one of my fav games (which the sheets are no longer in production). However, I ran into a problem with creating the stat input (skills in my sheet). I have researched everywhere I could and came up with using Spinbuttons. I just can't seem to get them to work the way I want. Particularly in the "maxing" and "deducting" from the Total correctly.

I have comments in cells describing what is suppose to be happening and I highlighted the areas that are affected by what I'm trying to do.

If all else fails I do not mind just inputting manually the values, but it would be nice to automate it.
