Resize Screen Help!

Have been using Win2k/Office2003 for some time now on 2 monitors. I have recently upgraded to a new computer WinXP sp3/Office2003.

I used to be able to drag my workbook across both monitors, but now excel won't let me.

I used to unmaximize the workbook and just drag the lower right hand corner to the next screen, but now when I try it, I have to also unmaximize the workbook within the unmaximized excel. This will only let me drag the excel instance to the next screen but the workbook can only be resized to a maximum of 1 monitor size, the rest of excel is filled with grey.

Has anyone else had this problem or any possible solutions??

Thanks,
Jay

I think that's more of a Windows multiple monitor setup issue vs. Excel itself.

My wife is on XP SP3 and she can do it just fine. I'll see if I can find out what her settings are.

Hi Smitty, thanks for the reply. You were right about it being a multi-monitor issue. I was running Ultramon (a popular app for multi-monitors) to manage my other monitors and that program tells windows that each individual monitor is like a separate computer. I uninstalled Ultramon and used the Matrox Hybrid Display settings to allow me to use excel across more than 1 monitor.

For future reference, if anyone would like to use excel across more than 1 monitor, don't use Ultramon, use the Matrox or Nvidia display settings utility.

Later,
Jay
