dear all

i am using access 2010.
if i open my report it give me the dialog " enter parameterValue". i need the report to open normaly without asking me any condition.

i ma still new in access, i dont know how i add it :), i succeeded to remove from my Query but form the report i coudln't.

appreciate any help.

dear Norie

i tried all suggestions, i removed the items one by one in the report design viewm but couldn't find the problem.

as for the report , it is not related to the query, i did it through the report wizard by using two table the GeneratorCapacity and the Invoice table.

i have an old backup of my database, i opened both and compare them , they are the same.

i will keep searching and feed you back.

thanks again for your support

Excel Facts

What does custom number format of ;;; mean?
Three semi-colons will hide the value in the cell. Although most people use white font instead.

So you didn't check the query/record source of the report as xenou suggested?

Checking an unrelated query isn't realy going to tell you much.:)

By the way, you asked for my email address so I sent it by PM.

You'll never guess what the problem seems to be.

It's a spelling mistake.

The table Rental Fleet doesn't have a field called 'Generator Capacity', though it does have one called 'Generartor Capacity'.

There are two things you can change for a quick fix - the query for the record source of the report and the Control Source property of the combobox 'Generator Capacity'.

For the query just select Generartor Capacity from the field dropdown in the first column.

For the combobox change the control source to Generartor Capacity.

That's the quick fix, for a 'proper' fix you need to change the field name in the Rental Fleet table.

If you do that you'll need to check all the other objects in the table that use that table.

I hope you understand all that, I don't think I've explained it well.:)

well you are right i will never guess it :)
a big thanks to you, i learned a lot these two days.
after too much struggling i succeeded to do it.:)
the report is working now without the parameter. but in the second column the "Engine S/N" is showing the ID Number (1,2,3,.....) of the Engine Serial Number table instead of the engine Serial Number Itself

please advsie.
