I have copied a column of values into a workbook, but am unable to apply a formula to it (get [FONT=Segoe UI, Segoe UI Web, Segoe UI Symbol, Helvetica Neue, BBAlpha Sans, S60 Sans, Arial, sans-serif]#VALUE) as it has a space in front of it. If I remove the space I can apply the formula.
How can I remove these spaces to the column, other than individually please?

Why can't spreadsheets drive cars? They crash too often!
Highlight the column, bring up Find/Replace, and replace a single space with nothing (leave the Replace With value empty). Then click the Replace All button.

Or if they all have the leading space, you could also do Text to Columns, choosing the Fixed Width option, and setting the delimiter after the first space, and electing to not import the first field.

Many thanks Joe4, I thought it would be something simple.
Both the suggestions I suggested are pretty simple, and could be done in under a minute and do not require any "helper" columns or anything like that.

Another alternative is to leave it the way it is, and try to account for it your formula (i.e. using the TRIM or MID function).
