Good day all

Thanks for taking the time.

I have a sheet in Excel that contains shapes with text in them. The texts in these shapes are not misspelled. If I run a spell check nothing is picked up.
All text has red wiggly lines under them. How do I get rid of these lines? It even prints when I print or PDF.

Thanks,
Wessie

Hi Chris.

Unfortunately not. That issue remains to this day.
It's like a brother in jail. After a while you just have to live with it.

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
So I think I broke our brother out of jail last night. Try copying the text box with the correctly spelled words (but underlined in red) into Word, run spellcheck, hit ignore if words are not recognized, then copy back to Excel. This corrected my issue. Good luck.

This issue was driving me crazy as well. What helped for me was going into file>options>proofing and then deselect and select the "Ignore words that contain numbers" checkbox again. Somehow this fixed the issue for me

Unchecking "Flag repeated words" in the Proofing menu might also help, worked for me.
