I have a spreadsheet that uses row groups (only 2 levels) to drill down to detail information. I wish to publish the sheet to HTML so that users can click the +/- buttons to drill down to the info within the web page.
When I publish the sheet to HTML, the groups do not carry through to the HTML file (whether I publish the sheet with all groups expanded or collapsed).
Does anyone know of an Excel add-in that will make this happen?
I am actually compiling the cell data from an Access database, so it's possible I could avoid Excel altogether to get the HTML page I want but I'm not familiar with building web pages directly from Access and I haven't found a good resource yet on the web that can walk me through the process.
I've also tried using Crystal reports (by building a cross-tab object), but Crystal doesn't provide drill-down functions in the cross-tab objects.
(I'm using Excel 2007 so I'm hesitant to install the add-in that will enable me to post a screenshot of my spreadsheet to the forum. Let me know if a screenshot would be helpful)
Thanks for any help you can provide.
