Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
Besides that confirmation....Please advice, if there is anything i need to keep in mind when dealing with executable files....

Thanks again everyone!:)

Yes.
Save a backup of the file BEFORE you create the executable. Since even YOU cannot make any changes anymore.

xenou's right - you can't make any changes to the executable file.

If you do want to make changes you'll need to go back to the original, non-executable file.

Make the changes there and then create another executable file and distribute that.

I'm getting error when trying to make excecutable file, it states that the file has too many modules/tables etc

What is the maximum table/codes/query/forms i can have as maximum to make it an executable database?

Thanks again

I've never heard of this. How many modules, tables, etc do you have? "Too many modules, tables, etc." doesn't quite sound like a real error message. What exactly is the error message? Have you googled this message and/or the error number?

Hi Xen, thanks for looking back to this thread.:)
Exact error message is this...
"Microsoft Office Access was unable to create the .accde, .mde, or .ade file."
When i try with other databse it is perfect!
I event compact and repaired but still wont work...[Refered to few link...Gooogled and found few help...]

I think i'll rebuild new one and try again....by minimizing the Codes and tables etc..:)

Thanks again Xen!

How about starting from scratch without any code at all?

Use what's available in Access without code, there's plenty of things that are are.

You probably will end up having to use code but you shouldn't start by using code.

Sounds like you have compiler errors.

Manually compile the VBA code. This should identify any errors i n the VBA code.

To manually compile:
Open any VBA module or press alt-F11. On the VBA Editor menu go to Debug > Compile (should be first option on the menu)
