Hello Excel Masters, thank you in advance for your help. I am trying to figure if what I need to do in excel will work

  1. In excel > Data > Get Data > I select get Data from a Power BI and then I select Build table and select my fields. Lets say my table range is A1:C4 and the date updates correctly
  2. Next I insert 2 columns in front of the table so now my table range is C1:E4
  3. Next I select the table and under Table design select resize table and I change the range from $C$1:$E$4 to $A$1:$E$4
  4. Next I label Column 1 Helper and Column 2 Notes so the table looks like this and at present everything is populated from the Power Bi and looks like this

HelperNotesAnimalBornColor
cat06/01/24orange
dog03/23/23brown
mouse11/01/21white

5. Now lets say I manually populate the cells under helper and notes. Here are my questions

a) Will the data refresh from Power BI normally even though I updated the table manually?
b) I manually add the note "The dog is great" to the table as shown below. Then the entry for dog is removed from the data source. I would think when the table refreshes the row would be removed and the
manual data I entered would be deleted but wanted to confrm. Is it deleted or could it possible remain and but be tied to difference data - like the mouse?
