Hi

I'm a newbie trying to update a spreadsheet that has 90 dropdowns, containing the same info:

E
P
P/W
PK

There are two cells to the right of each dropdown:

Time
Comments

When the user selects PK from a dropdown, I need the time to be inserted into the Time cell i.e 1430,1100 etc and the words PK Check OK to be inserted into the Comments cell.

Cany anyone help please, as I've gone round in circles with Data Validation, VLOOKUP etc.

Thank you.

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
one way of doing it, this assumes your list is in column A (1)
adjust as needed and format time column as needed

Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)

With Application
  .EnableEvents = False
  .ScreenUpdating = False

    If Target.Column = 1 And Target.Row > 1 And Target = "PK" Then
    ActiveCell.Offset(0, 1).Value = Time()
    ActiveCell.Offset(0, 2).Value = "PK Check OK"
    End If

  .EnableEvents = True
  .ScreenUpdating = True
End With

End Sub
