Populate cells base on input table

I want to input data in the input table (column G, H, I) and makes it populate in column C.

Column B is the depth in meters, when data is imputed in input data the geology would be filled for depth value from the start, and ends inthe depth end value indicated.

i needed a formular to work it out please

Thank you so much it works, but I am working with my office PC not my own, so it 2016 version. The spill didn't work on it but it works perfectly on my 365

Sorry for asking this in this section, let asumed in the picture I sent earlier, instead of writing the Geology input like, top soil, coarse sand. The cell is blank, but has a different pattern style. is it posible for excel to return the pattern style foe Column C. Something like this picture sir

No it's not. A formula cannot "see" cell formatting. You would need to use VBA.
