Hi Guys!

So basically as the title suggests I want to add 1 to the contents of Cell C1 if A1 = yes.

the concept is to count how many times a cell is switched to "Yes" and have a cell (C1) record every time it changes back to it.

Hope that makes sense guys.

Cheers

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
What do you mean by 'record every time it changes back'? Excel formulae aren't know for their good memory.

How does the value in A1 get changed to/from Yes? User_entry/formula/macro/other?

Hi Guys, thanks for the quick replies. Here is exactly what i'm doing:

A2 is a formula based on an if statement (=if(B2=B1,"yes","no") where b1 is randomly selecting the cell contents from range B2:B20.
B2 is the product
C2 =rand()
D4 is where I want to start adding/plusing numbers ever time each product from the range B2:B20 is selected.

So as I randomly refresh the page cell B1 selects a product from the list. I need the Corresponding product to then add 1 to D4 and when that product is randomly selected again I need to another another 1 to that product so I can see a count of how many times the product was randomly selected after refreshing over and over.

Hope that makes more sense?
