God please help anybody!!!

I am currently trying to do the following:
i) Plot the data
ii)calculate the trend and seaonal components
iii)On the same graph a i), plot the trend line
Forcast the total Consumer Expenditure for 1997 Q4 and 1998 Q3 from the following table
Year Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4
1993 95 98 105 108
1994 101 104 110 112
1995 106 108 115 117
1996 112 114 122 125
1997 118 123 131

Don't know if this helps but....

I put your figures into a sheet with cell A1 being the word "Year" and cell E6 being the predicted value for q4 1997.

I put an apostrophe in front of each year value to prevent it from being plotted.

To predict q4 1997: I selected all three existing 1997 values, and used Autofill to "Predict" (Linear, fill series) the value for q4.

To Plot: I selected the entire range and pressed F11.

To get the trend line: I went to the chart and right clicked any Q4 value, and selected "Add Trendline". I then selected the "Linear" option, and clicked OK.

Is this what you wanted?

B.T.W: There is an option under Trendline that allows for predictions, but it will only plot the line to the predicted point, but not show you the value or fill the value into the sheet.
