All,I am able to group dates in a PivotTable fine, the problem I have is when a month has no data, but I want to show the months with 0 data. For instance I am going from July 2014 - July 2015. I group by year and month so it shows the data properly. August 2014 has no data, but when looking at data for intel purposes no data is still important data. When I go into Field Settings and then Layout and Print I check Show items with no data. This loads the data for the missing month, but it also loads everything from Jan 2014 - Dec 2015. I still only want to see all months from July to July though. How can I remove the extra dates outside my date range? ALso using Excel 2013

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
Make a helpcolumn in your orignal data, and make a formula to determine the month ( july 2014 - july 2015).

I have that as well, but the issue is still the same. If using any date fields, and using the Show fields with no data it automatically loads every month for the year instead of just the July to July which contains data.

I did, but it does the same thing. It works fine like its supposed to do until I turn on "show values with no data".
