I have 8 pivot tables linked to a large PowerPivot with a half-dozen rows but with over 100 columns. As it relates to efficiency, would I be better off having more tables with fewer columns or as is?

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
it's a case by case scenario but...lets say that you could reduce 50 columns and have them as separate tables and just leave teh FK (Foreign keys) in that table...over time, it would be the best option as Powerpivot works better with rows than with columns.
