Pivot Table scenario analysis

Good evening,

I have an old excel 2007 file which contains only a pivot table, that has many expense totals, sub-totals, etc per month.
There is no data source available anymore, even if I go to where the data source path shows.

If I double click on a cell that has a value, it will put all the individual expenses for that month into another sheet. If I want to change the value on that new sheet, it will not refresh in the pivot table.

My question is, how do I update my pivot table if I want to test different scenarios and change a few numbers if the data source is unavailable? (It HAS TO BE available somewhere if I can doubleclick it, it shows all the data I need in another sheet.

Is there a way I can recreate the original table that was used to create the pivot? I searched on the web regarding reverse pivot table, but since my data is gouped per month, it does't work.

Please let me know!

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
