When modifying the design of a pivot table in Compact Form, you are by default given Row Subheading 1-3 and then the formatting repeats for any Row Subheadings beyond 3. Is there any way to create unique formatting for a Row Subheading 4 and beyond?

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
I've had a similar problem and wonder if it's even possible to do. Never found a definitive answer.

I have pivot tables with 5-6 row subheadings. For this pivot it needs to be in compact form. Unfortunately formatting for row subheadings 2 and 3 continually repeat for subheading 4 and 5, 6 and 7, etc.

If there is a way to create custom formatting (traditionally or with vba) for subheading rows 4 and beyond, I'd really appreciate to know the answer as well. Just looking for font and background color changes...

Thanks for any help you guys can provide.
