Hi all,

I am working with pivot tables which I had a questions about calculating new columns based on the pivot table itself.

Lets say my pivot table looks like this:
Name locationRevenueFTE
Location1001,0

1) I want to calculate a column next to that based on these columns such as FTE costs (which would be FTE times a fixed amount) or gross profit (in this case revenue -/- fte costs).
2) my other solution is to post the output to a new sheet and start calculations from there. However I could minimize this by having it dynamic

Thanks alot.
best,
W

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
desired output:
name locationOmzetFTE indirecte medewerkers p/wFTE costs
Aalsmeer, Legmeerdijk, Inh. Royal FloraHolland1001,0
1 * 80.000 = 80.000

The FTE costs column would be only created through a formula based on the pivot table itself.
Thank you all.

You can create calculated fields for that:

then:

for example.

You can then create another one that subtracts this field from the Revenue field.

Thank you, above solutions works like a charm.
This also allows automatization whenever you want to refresh your pivot table whenever your source data has changed.
