Hello

Thanks in advance.

When I create a formula and reference a cell within a pivot table and then drag that formula down a column or row - it does not automatically adjust for the next cell down or across. It continues to reference the initial cell.

Is there a way around this?

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
I'm guessing that you are writing this formula by using the cursor to select the cell in the pivot table - am I right ?

One way round this is not to do that, but to type the cell reference in directly to the formula.
For example, if C2 is the cell in the pivot table that you want to refer to, write C2 directly into the formula.
