Pie chart graph not updating

I have a spreadsheet with a number of pie charts on it
however when the information feeding into them is update, pie charts do not update to correspond with it.. However if i copy the pie chart to another area in the spreadsheet, the newly copied pie chart shows the correct data.

Any ideas?

Is Calculation set to Manual? If so you need to press F9 when Calculate appears in the Status Bar.

Just checked that - it set to automatic but unfortunatly i still have the same issue

UPDATE:

If i save the file, close it then go back in they are ok
so it appears that there is some issue with it refreshing but the calc function is set to automatic

Your not opening another workbook that has been saved with manual calculation are you?

If you open another workbook that has been saved with manual calculation then it will effect all open workbooks, and save them that way which can be annoying.

If I start coming across this, I open my workbooks one at a time and check 'Tools > Calculation' on each one making sure they are set to automatic until I come across the culprit.

The strange thing is all the figures are changing automatically it's just the graphs that wont update

I've tried to replicate the problem with a few of my charts but can't seem to stop it updating unless I switch off the calculation.... Very odd...

Does the workbook have a lot of formulas? - It could be that it is taking some time to process all the calculations and that your graphs will update given time?

Other than that...

It does have lot of formuals in it - this may be the problem

Ill just have to save close and re-open - it's no big deal

Hello Andrew,

I use only user-defined functions and I face the same problem: The graph doesn't refresh.

Is there a manually way to refresh please?
