Hello,

I have a pivot table with several items in rows and their respective values by month in columns (column labels).

It's very simple but I have a sheet with several groups of pivot tables and different colors for each so I started using the same ones as in 2017. I just had to delete 2017 and replace with 2018 values in the several sheets, refresh and it's done.

The problem, tough, is kind of weird. Once I started to use 2018 values in the same Pivot table instead of JAN for new values I have JAN2.
I've deleted all 2017 values from the source data sheet so why does it happens?

If I go to the label filters I have a list with JAN and JAN2. I suppose JAN is from 2017 values, but I´ve deleted them. They're nowhere to be seen!
I use the same data sheet for new 2018 inputs so I've already tried a new sheet with unformatted values as a new source sheet but the table remains with JAN and JAN2.

If I choose JAN the pivot table returns nothing. I have to choose JAN2 in order to return JAN 2018 values.

I can make new pivot tables sure enough but, like I said, I've several colors for several groups and I don't want to make new tables each year.

Does anybody knows how to delete these phantom label months?

Thank You
R

Why JAN2?

I'm sure this has to do with your source data setting for the pivot table.
try to go to pivot table - select change source - and exclude the column with JAN2 on top...
see what this will do

No.

I've already tried that. If I exclude JAN2 the pivot table becomes empty since there's no data for JAN (of 2017).
But once I go to the Field list, there they are: JAN and JAN2.

Surely the Pivot table as stored that field somewhere, but where?
