Hi, Looking for a method for taking a percentage and 'banding' it. Percentage bands are as follows. 1 15 - 25%2 25 -38 %3 38 - 50%4 50 - 56%5 56 - 65%6 65 - 70%7 70 - 81%8 81 - 87.5%9 87.5 - 100%Their raw score is entered in column IThis shows a percentage score in column JHow do I get column K to display the band that corresponds with their percentage score? Thanks in advance.

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN
use a lookup or IF

in a part of the spreadsheet or a new sheet create a table

two columns with just the upper range and a vlookup using true

BUT you have % in two ranges
25% = 1 and 2

what range do you want in

OR a nested IF
=if( J2 >=87.5%, 9, if( j2 >=81, 8 , etc
