PDF Versioning Issue

Does anyone know of a similar forum to MrExcel.com for Adobe Acrobat related issues? I have a user that's embedding a PDF into a Word document. She has Standard 9. She wants to follow these steps:

Copy PDF file
In Word, choose Paste Special
Select Adobe Acrobat Object
Click OK

The Adobe Acrobat Object option does not appear. She only has the choices of Package Object or Files in the Paste Special window. I've provided other options to embed the PDF files. The issue seems to be when she embeds a PDF created with Standard 9, the users who have previous versions of Adobe Acrobat cannot open the file.

Has anyone run into this issue?

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
What Acrobat versions are the others using? Try using Insert|Object|Object>Create From File > Browse (then select the file).
