Paste button grayed out

Hello,

Hoping for some help as this issue is really annoying. All of a sudden the paste icon appears grayed out in my excel 365 spreadsheets (all of them). I have tried the "quick repair" and re-downloading the files but nothing is working. I closed the applications, restarted the laptop and nothing.

I have read on the web that it may be related to macro issues but I have no idea what to do or how to fix it. Your assistance would be very much appreciated!!!

Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.
Thank you for your suggestion. I failed to mention in my post that I also did that. The option has always been checked:
