Dear All,

This is my first post, and I have read as many existing threads as I can find that might help, but not being particularly Excel savvy, I need some help, please???

I have an Excel workbook (Excel:Mac 2008) with 10 tabs, but only two are important at this stage. The first one is a list of furniture. In this list there are 5 columns, item code (over 200 items), packed volume, packed weight, volume weight and chargeable weight.

In the second sheet I want to create a type of order form, I want a drop down screen in the first column to get it's data from sheet 1 item code, then I want a manual input for the qty ordered, but in columns 3-6 of sheet 2, I want to calculate the volumes and weights for each item, multiplied by the number ordered.

I'm sure it's possible, and might be a vlookup function, (from what I have been reading) but I can't work it out.

Please help

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Dear All,

I guess that my question is not as simple as I had first thought as no-one has replied! If anyone has a direction for me to go in, I'll try to work it out myself :eeek:.

Many thanks
