I have a windows 8 laptop. I shut if off when I'm done. So when I power it up, and log in, I would like for a excel program I use to open, it has a user form I designed as a "Home Page" with buttons on it for navigation. Ideally if I could get that file to open when I log in, I could navigate thru this instead of the desk top. Is that possible?,
Thank you, this site always has the best answers,

Excel Facts

Excel Can Read to You
Customize Quick Access Toolbar. From All Commands, add Speak Cells or Speak Cells on Enter to QAT. Select cells. Press Speak Cells.
I would create a shortcut to your Excel file in the Startup folder for Windows. Everything in the Startup folder is executed when you login to Windows. I do not know if it's the same place in Windows 8 as it is on later versions, but on 10 it is in but check here:

C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

where user is your Windows user name

Thanks I did that, the user form opens as designed. The only thing other to do was to set the tool bar to hide. Good to go. thanks

Glad it worked! Wasn't sure how W8 is set up, I've left that far behind. Good luck.
