I have an excel (2010) spreadsheet with approx 8000 rows and 50 columns. I have formatted the spreadsheet based on the data type (number, dates, texts...etc). When I linked this spreadsheet to Access (2010), the wrong format is displayed (number cells/columns are displayed as dates and vice-versa). Does anyone know the fix to this problem?

I appreciate your comments.

I fixed the problem. Thanks for your help. Now I have another problem. I created an easy search form using a query. The query works for some data and doesn't for the rest of them. I've tried to determine the root cause of this but still unsuccessful. Here is the query and code i used for the search form

Query
Like![Forms]![FormName].[IndexedData] & "*"

Code for Run query Buttom
docmd.OpenQuery, "QueryName", acViewNormal

Also do you know of a way to query multiple data via the search form?

For example the form looks like this

Enter Name ----------
Enter Address--------

Can I type multiple names in the Enter name box and run the query?

Thanks
