Hi
each sheet in excel 2010 has 1M rows and 16K rows. If I open a sheet, are all columns and rows are open (saved in computer memory)? or excel opens few only and it will open more as we screw down. What i mean by open, is to create or reserve line in the memory of the computer. because 16B cells is too much computer memory.
Thanks a lot.

Hi,

I really don't have any solid technical knowledge regarding your question, so I can only offer my common sense answer; I'm fairly certain when you Open a workbook (including All sheets within that workbook, even the Non-Active ones), the entire workbook is cached in your computers RAM, I say this because in a single sheet, for example, a formula in A1 on the first sheet may refer to the very Last cell of the Last row and Last Column of That Sheet or even Another Sheet in the same workbook; therefore, if the entire Workbook is Not cached in the computer's memory, A1 Can Not calculate until you scroll thru All Worksheets in the entire Workbook.

Just my opinion.
