Now() minus 1 month = ?

Hello - I'm trying to find out how to display a date of 1 month prior to current month year. If today is Oct-04, I would like to display Sept-04 in a cell.
Thanks for any help.

Juan formula works most of the time except Jan dates, when the year changes for the previous date, i.e. Year(A2)-1 should be used.

Sorry Juan, was posting in haste :oops:

Was actually thinking of dates like March 30, that is where the results from the 2 formulas differ.
