Hello,
I am very new to excel.
I want to create a noise curve with a crest factor of 5 using excel. My frequency(1/T) range is 100khertz to 220Mhertz.
i normally used Norm.inv(RAND(),0,1) to make some random voltages for my curve.
but now i am asked to consider a crest factor of 5 for each voltage point i make on my curve. I am really confused. how can i make it work.
thanking you,

hello,
i made my voltages with crest factor 5 according to the logic you have suggested and just copied the random numbers when i could have 5 in my crest factor column.
now my problém is with the frequency ranges. my graph Looks good when i use 1-20,000 samples. but I have to replace These samples with freq range I want. I cannot use so many frequencies since it is too fast for my op amp to take in.
so i took freq in 100k to 220M hertz range with a step of 2000000 and applied the same logic for voltages. but when i look at my graph, i have nice curve initallz and later only a straight line.
can you suggest me a method so that i could have nice curves spread over my freq range.

this is what i did.

i made this table untill freq is 220 MEG herty.
i have one more doubt. if my samples are in large number then i see my crest factor appearing with great accuracy and large number of times when i Keep pressing F9 and my Peak and rms values are also in good range like 5... and 0.99 like that.
but when i reduce the number of samples and if i raise the power of my initial Signal to reach a crest factor of 5 i see Peak and rms values to be strange. so large numbers some times such as 60 -70. can you please explain on this.
