Hi all,
Although I have developed excel apps using vba in the past, my new project has a requirement to have no vb code and is to generate all output via pivots - and quess what, if I am honest, I've never really used them. So I need to get up to speed quick. I am comfortable with the use of the wizard interface.
Can anyone advise (sorry if these are not simple answers OR a direction to a good help source would be great)
1. Do's and Don'ts with pivots - e.g. I see if you add in a new column it "can" screw things up
2. Are there some really professional outputsthat can be generated
3. Is there a mechanism for documenting a pivot design - in case of regeneration - I'm use to database applications where if you do use wizards etc you can actually see the underlying design e.g. database query designer
4. Anything else.
I'm really feeling like a novice at the moment in this subject !
Thanks
SJ
