MS TEAMs and linked Master + User Defined excel files

Morning everyone!

We were playing around with the idea of moving our shared excel files to TEAMs to counter the issue we are having with the file getting 'locked by user'. My question is if TEAMs allows communication between a Master Workbook and the linked user defined workbooks? Will auto and button macros still work?
