I'm copying a master WB, renaming it with the contents of a cell (a number), save it and then I manually open outlook and send the saved WB to my boss. My WB has macros and modules and VBA buttons etc.

When he gets it, my forms & modules have gone and pressing some of my buttons don't work - create a PDF for example which was controlled by one of the modules.

I'm using Excel 2007 in compatability mode (2003)

save/rename method FileFormat:=xlNormal

I want the new workbook to be exactly the same as the master so that when he receives it via email he can do the same functions as me.

Is there an easy answer?

Not sure. Possibly the calendar is not supported in xls files? What actually is this calendar all about?

Excel Facts

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
I have a userform that pops up as soon as the WB is open to input clients' name, address,phone number etc and it also has a calendar used as a date picker for my quote form.

The code just initialises the calendar to todays date, otherwise it stays on the date that I made the calendar and I don't want to have to manually find the right year/month/day.

As you say its probably just a problem with calendar not being recognised in 2003 mode or something. I'm not really worried about it, I'll just revert to a slower manual method of doing things.

Strangely enough I have never been able to run my WB under 2007 mode because Excel crashes most every time.

Thanks for your help.

Yes, these get to be kind of obscure I guess. Calendar (activeX controls) can be tricky.

If you have happened to install a 64-bit Office suite I would re-install as a 32-bit Office suite - users report more problems with 64 bit Office and Microsoft does not even recommend it yet unless you really need it for highly data-intensive uses.

Have a look under Tools>References to see if there's a reference to the Calendar Control.

If it's marked as MISSSING uncheck it.
