</TBODY><COLGROUP><COL><COL><COL span=3><COL></COLGROUP>[/TABLE]

column A=Input & B1, C1, D1 & E1 is Input. B2:B7, C2;C7, D2:D7 & E2:E7 is to be MATCHED EXACTLY with column A to get column F.
How to accomplish?

Aladin's formula works well. But I am unable to decide which one will be more flexible + reliable?
Aladin has more expirience so I will talk for my self only.
They both giving you answer you requested (so flexible) but in term of efficiency(functions involve) Aladin's solution is the way to go.
I do not know what would be the answer for let say 50 columns and 10000 rows but as my solutions involve arrays that may slow down calculation.

Aladin back to you...

Adverse input, which would not affect any other approach, seems improbable.
