none of my marcos will work any more. I shut down the computer and opened a new blank sheet. I recorded a simple marco and tried to play it but got the same error as before (see pic. 1). Please don't tell me to go to trust settings. as you can see in pic 2 the settings are ok. Please help.

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
Are you in a network (LAN) setting? Someone may have altered settings on the server you're connected to. You could try remapping to the same one (refreshing) or try another one if you have access to any others. I'm assuming your mapping uses the server name and not its IP address because the IP address could be a problem. That all assumes your files are in a trusted location. AFAIK, just because your macro settings are correct doesn't mean your files don't have to be in a TL.

If you could give me detailed instructions that would help. just so you know I live in Florida in the middle of hurricane Milton. we were without power for several days and no internet. We just got back our power and internet earlier today.so it is possible something got messed up. Please help.

So sorry to learn that you were caught up in that.
I gather your problem is at home then and not in an office network environment so the only suggestions I can make is to
1) ensure your xlsm files are in a trusted location regardless of what your macro settings are. If you don't understand what that is, Google it.
2) try disabling your anti-virus software if you're using anything besides Windows basic anti-virus protection.
