Dear Members,

Although the question has been asked several times in the forum. I would like to know if there has been any comprehensive solution. Is recording macro the only option? I have set my pivot to refresh upon opening the workbook as this Excel file is being updated by several parties. Could I get any input?

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
Hi pvkimalan,

I don't know if this will answer your question, but I saw this last night. DrHacker created and shared a solution similar to your post:

In terms of formatting, pivot tables are a nightmare. I have yet to figure out how to maintain my custom formatting for my pivot charts/tables. Sucks when you're presenting data to executives and the dang data labels keep disappearing or the colors keep changing.

Dear @richh

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it. I did saw the post and also tried the code, I was getting an execution error. I shall post the error in the Original thread so I can get a quick response and also it may help others if they come across similar errors.
