Please can someone help?

I have a spread sheet with a field that contains a line of text, within that field are 100+ names. I have a seperate list of all the names and I want to use a macro to to say if a cell contains that name them the cell next to it = that name so I have the original text and name side by side now.

Please can someone let me know if this is possible?

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
steven2909,

Welcome to the MrExcel forum.

Please can someone let me know if this is possible?

Probably.

What version of Excel are you using?

Can you post a screenshot of the raw data worksheet, and, post a screenshot of the worksheet results (manually formatted by you) that you are looking for?

To post your data, you can download and install one of the following two programs:
Excel Jeanie
MrExcel HTML Maker

If you are not able to give us screenshots:
You can upload your workbook to Box Net,
sensitive data scrubbed/removed/changed
mark the workbook for sharing
and provide us with a link to your workbook.
