each Cell in Col AB contains either no data, numbers or letters, not both
Starting Cell AB19 I need to clear letters only
leaving numbers to remain

Excel Facts

Back into an answer in Excel
Use Data, What-If Analysis, Goal Seek to find the correct input cell value to reach a desired result
each Cell in Col AB contains either no data, numbers or letters, not both

Maybe this...
Code:
[table="width: 500"]
[tr]
	[td]Sub DeleteOnlyCellsContainingLetters()
  On Error GoTo NoText
  Range("AB19", Cells(Rows.Count, "AB").End(xlUp)).SpecialCells(xlConstants, xlTextValues).ClearContents
NoText:
End Sub[/td]
[/tr]
[/table]
