Hi

Please excuse my ignorance......

I have a Macro Enabled spreadsheet which has a couple of checkboxes and a date picker control.

I have saved as a Macro Enabled spreadsheet.

My problem is that if I open on another PC or with a different user the controls don't work.

Could someone be so kind as to point out the error of my ways?

Kind Regards

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
Hi,

OK, can You have the kindness to confirm that You use ActiveX controls and not the Form controls together with which Excel version is in use.

Hi,

Since You use the Date Picker control I assume You use ActiveX controls.

(To check Yourself, click on the Developer Tab and then click on the Insert button in the Controls group.)

What You can check next is the settings for ActiveX controls. You find it in the Trust Center > Active X settings.

Make sure You check that the option "Trust access to the VBA project object model" is checked in the Macro Settings.

BTW, is this a shared workbook?

Hi,

OK, it seems it's a mystery but let us see what we can do about it.

If You create a new file, add the controls and code to it that You know have troubles with. Save it and then test it in a similar way as with the offending file. What is the outcome?

Hi

Thanks for your help.

I deleted and started again on the machine which was not playing ball.

I recreated the checkboxes OK - but it seems the date and time picker is not available?

I read on another forum message that this is due to a missing file (mscomct2.ocx) on the SYSWOW folder - I will try and locate add and then add the controls again.

Many thanks for all your help.
