Hi guys,

I hope you can help.

I have a leaderboard based on certain scores. It update automatically and puts people’s names in order based on their scores, but doesn’t show their scores next to their name.

I’ve tried a simple lookup formula but it doesn’t appear to be working.

Cells S4:S11 has the names and cells T4T:T11 has the scores (scores are a sum of the previous cells).

In AC4:AC11 shows the names in winning order.

I’ve input the formula =LOOKUP(AC4,S4:S11,T4:T11) however this doesn’t return the relevant score.

I’ve tried this on many other sheets and even created a manual scoreboard below on which it works.

Could anyone help me understand why it won’t work on the automated one?

Do he names have to be put in manually so it’s reading text and not an output of a formula?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Not everything I do at work revolves around Excel. Only the fun parts.
LOOKUP requires the lookup_vector (S4:S11 in your case) in ascending order. I think you should use INDEX/MATCH.
Could you post a data sample along with expected results?
