Hello All,
I'm wondering if anyone can give me the easist way to do this. I have data that is sorted alphabetically or numerically on a tab. On another tab I want to pull the information in column C, D, and E based on what is in cell A. So if I want to only pull information for "1Y", then I should have a list of two entries based on the information below. My goal is to have a tab for each entry in column A (one tab for "1Y", one tab for "1U" etc.) I'm using excel 2003. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

A B C D E
1Y 1Y B S9 AD 1181450
1U 1U A D1 AFSBD 1093316
1U 1U A D1 AFSBW 1093316
1Y 1Y B T1 AQ 00PER0052500

Yes, you are correct. I do have headers in those A1:E1 on my Sort tab.
In my "field 2" (B1)it actually says 1YB or 1VA. So there is an "A" or a "B" next to the original 5 choices 1Y, 1U etc. So field one is just 1Y and field 2 is 1YB. I'm not sure if this is what is throwing off the formulas but I did get a number value (3 and 4) in cell A4 & A5. Im getting a #num! error in A6 and on and an #N/A next to the cells with numbers in B4 & B5 but a #num! error in the rest of the cells.

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.

As you can see from the sample, A2:A5 houses the location values, not the headers. You seem to have a diiferent lay-out on your Sort. Can you post a 6 rows sample including the headers you have?
