Login Twice?

I've noticed that lately I have to login twice before it recognizes that I'm logged on.

I goto the login screen, login and it takes me back to the forum section but it doesn't appear that I'm logged in (I don't see the option to view my posts for instance and the Login Here options is still there as opposed to "Log Out [username]").

After I login a second time, all seems to work well.

It's almost as if someone has installed a phoney login screen to capture passwords and then passes you off to the real login when it's done!

Anyone else having to login twice?

Yes, for some time now, and I'm not sure why.

And an extra kicker, is that when you're using Netscape, it appears you've logged off, but you haven't, you come back and you're logged in.

Don't have the solution, but I can confirm this.

I haven't seen this.. first time I've heard of this. Does it happen EVERYTIME???
I usually stay logged in...haven't had any problems. Guess I better give it a try.

well, I don't seem to have any problems.
Could it be corrupt cookies? Try deleting your cookies and logging in again...

Hi Dennis, wb!

you were having login probs too???

I delete my cookies on the hour, so it's not that in my case, and it has been happening with both IE and Netscape on different computers.

Also, I haven't had the double prompt since last Friday.

Just tried wiping the cookies...

That seemed to solve the problem for me (at least for now).
If it crops up again, I'll post back.

I've noticed on some other message boards they've started deleting related cookies automatically at logoff.
