Lock checkbox to a cell

I made a spreadsheet with 40 rows and 10 columns. Column "A" is a list of peoples names. Columns B:I are check boxes that are assigned true/false values somewhere else in the spreadsheet.. Right now the check boxes are floating boxes. Is there a way to lock a checkbox to an individual cell? When I want to delete persons name or row I want that row of checkbox to move up the same way excel moves up rows. Right now since they float I have to individually redo all the checkbox.

Thanks

Correct Move and Size is greyed out. But if Move, Don't Size is selected and a row above the check box is deleted, the check box moves up, as was requested in the OP.
:oops:Somehow I managed to misread the OP & thought the requirement was to delete a row & the checkboxes at the same time. Which is never actually mentioned.

Yes I know there are ways to lock check boxes. But I'm never one that things having 320 checkboxes are needed to do things.

For example I could write a script where if you double clicked on a name in column A some action would happen on another cell.

This would require no checkboxes and only a little bit of code written. If you have 120 checkboxes code will have to be added to each of those check boxes. And if next week you need 140 checkboxes the job just keeps getting harder. If your interested let me know.
