I have searched the forums for an answer to my problem and I have found related posts but cant work out how to apply them to my issue.

Cell F48 = Base value will be 10
Cell G48 = Can be anything up to 10 and will be subtracted from cell F48

I want cell F48 to remain blank until a value has been entered in G48.

For example I enter 3.75 into G48 and F48 will then display 6.25.

Can anyone answer this please? Many thanks!

No worries! I'm glad to have helped.

One thought does occur to me. Column M appears to be empty. On a Fri-Sun, you could put the shift hours in column M, and leave it empty for the rest of the week. Then you could use a formula like:

=IF(ISBLANK(E6),"",IF(ISBLANK(M6),10,M6)-E6)

It would look at M6, and if it's empty (like in your example), it would default to 10 hours. But if you used this formula on line 3, with 8 in M3, then it would use 8 hours.

Good luck and have a great day!
