I have a column that I place check marks in if a certain condition is met. Some cells are checked and some are empty. I need to find the row number of the last checked cell. There will be only check marks or empty cells in in this column. And thanks again for all the wonderful help in the past.

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
If I understand your goal correctly, in B43 enter and copy across...

=DATEDIF(LOOKUP(REPT("z",255),B6:B41,$A$6:$A$41),TODAY(),"D")

Thank you so much. It works great without having to use an array. I did add the ISERROR factor to keep from have the "N/A" message for columns that didn't have any tasks checked yet. Again, thank you for the help.

Wow, that is a lot shorter and cleaner than what I had done. Thank you for your patience, you have been very, very helpful. I think I make thigs to complicated some times. Again, thanks to you and the Mr. Excel forum.
