Language Quesition

I would like to know if any program languages are easier the Visual Basic
i.e. Cobalt or something.
I am very new to this and would appreciate any information

And in VBA.

Msgbox "Hello, world!"

And I'm pretty sure that other languages have different syntax for this simple exercise.

I would post some other examples but they are lost in the mists of time.

I started with Basic on a Spectrum, tried a little bit of machine code with same.

Then Pascal, a little more machine code (different flavour though), then Prolog (AI stuff, then VB and finally VBA.

I'm sure there's a few thing's I'm missing out - C, C++, Java/JavaScript, PostScript.

What I an recall about any of these, except VBA, could probably be written on the back of the smallest stamp in the world.

Mind you I don't quite understand why people want to write things on the back of stamps.

For mailing those specs written on the back of an envelope

In Python (simplicity is a virtue here):

print "Hello, World!"

And only Python capitalises "World!"

Anybody still using Basic? In any of its incarnations?
