Office Version
  1. 2010
Platform
  1. Windows
In xl 2010, if I select a cell on a worksheet and press the "/" key the shortcut menu appears at the top of my ribbon.

If I type any other thing in a new cell and then press the "/" key I get the expected result, i.e. the "/" in the cell...

Any ideas what is occurring here please?

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
I don't remember if it is the same in Excel 2010 but in my version ...
File -> Options -> Advanced -> Lotus compatibility section -> Clear the 'Microsoft Excel menu key' box
