I'm trying to find a way where excel will keep a running count of how many times a cell has been changed in the next column. For example, if cell A5 is changed, B5 value would be 1. When A5 is changed again, B5 is 2, etc. I also need it to work for a range because it's a growing spreadshet. Is it possible to have this to work even if cell is modified thru the copy and paste functions?

Any help is appreciate!

I have formulas in column H of that sheet.
Yes, those values are changeable, so result of formulas are also changeable
But, not every refresh could make change of them
This time when I tried it change was happened but with no count

How do u mean does mine query affects on formulas? Formulas are only there for substitute . with , and for making order in all that values
In cell A2 is name of country (alphabetically), in columns B:G are data from web and in column H are currency values from row D
ex. in cell A40 is Germany, but value for Germany is not in D40, it's in D57, so I put formula in H40 to extract that value and substitute . with ,

Now I need that in row I is count of changes for values from column H

I don't know did i understood your questions and give proper answers..

Edit: I closed workbook and open it again and at start error showed up, error 404, it seems that problem is in 4. line
varOldResults = Application.Tr.....

Did you change the sheet name reference in the workbook_open event code?

I helped someone with an issue like this, the work around that we came up with was to copy the value of the "watch" cell on a interval then compare the "watch" cell with the control cell and do what the OP requested. My code is probably not relevant to this question, but the principle would be an option. If I remember correctly we ran the value control every five seconds or so. Worked on a ticker value so it should work in this case.

Just an thought/option. Cheers.
