What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
so if somebody has a good reason why not displaying his avatar, I'm open to hear it

maybe you have misread - it is AVATAR as even you say so why expecting 'real face' from it?
