Hi everyone,

I know that this topic has been discussed many times regarding inserting GIF-images in excel sheets. But all i can find is people giving the solution of using the Web Browser Active X control. This control does not work in Excel 2016 (unless you enable it in regedit or whatever which Microsoft does not recommend). I do not want to use a Web Browser control if this goes against Microsofts guidelines, so my question to you guys are: is it possible in any way to insert a moving GIF animation in Excel without using the Web Browser and also if it is possible to control this by using a VBA macro (If i press a button or do a specific function, the GIF automatically starts playing and then is hidden/removed after 5 seconds or something).

Thanks in advance,

Best regards
