Good afternoon all,

Can anyone please help with the following, I think its an ‘index/match’ formula – but I cannot understand any guides I can find online and it’s beyond a simple vlookup.

I have sheets 1 in the same workbook,

What I am trying to do is return a value in column C from sheet 2, in sheet 1 but only if the cell values in sheet 1 match in columns A & B

Sheet 1
Column A Column B Column C
Part No Vendor No ‘return value from sheet 2”

Sheet 2
Column A Column B Column C
Part No Vendor No Country of Origin ie UK,USA,CHINA and so on

Sheet 1 will only have 1 supplier and vendor number, whereas sheet 2 can have multiples of the same part number but different vendor numbers
And I want to return the value found in column C found in sheet 2 if columns A&B match.

Hope this explains it well enough ?

Can you sort left to right?
To sort left-to-right, use the Sort dialog box. Click Options. Choose "Sort left to right"
How about
=INDEX(Sheet2!C2:C100,MATCH(A2&"|"&B2,INDEX(Sheet2!A2:A100&"|"&Sheet2!B2:B100,0),0))
